I see that here is alot of confusion about DUAL-LAYER burning.

I recommend every FANEDITOR/CREATOR that is releasing DUAL-LAYER discs to the community that he/she reads this guide "How to burn Dual Layer Disks with PgcEdit" which is found here: http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/third_party/blutach/dl_burning_with_pgcedit.htm

I have followed that guide and succesfully burnt 20 or so dual-layer discs. And they are working in every player I have tried them on so far, the players range from cheap stuff to real expensive players from Pioneer and Harmann-Kardon.

A thing that you yourself can do to minimize the risk for incompatibality with your player is to BIT-SET DVD+R DL discs as DVD-ROM, this is made thru the help of DVDDecrypter or IMGBURN.
!!!!!YOU MAY NEED TO UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE TO A MORE RECENT VERSION OR EVEN A CRACKED/PATCHED ONE, TO GET THE ABILITY TO BIT-SET!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!SOME BURNERS DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO BIT-SET, BUT MOST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And as a sidenote, DVD-R DL is not preffered because thoose discs does not have the ability to be BIT-SET to DVD-ROM, which decreases their compatability.

So all in all... follow the mentioned guide and BIT-SET your DVD+R DL discs to DVD-ROM. So far my succses rate is 100%. And as I said before, ALL THESE CREATORS OF DUAL-LAYER DISCS NEED/HAVE/MUST follow the above guide. PLEASE DO SO! YOU WILL MINIMIZE THE RISK OF ERRORS ON THE RECIEVING END.

!!!!!!!!DO NOT BURN ON DVD-R DL DISCS!!!!!!!!!
