There were WAY too many things changed in Star Wars - it's very hard to catch them all.
I think it was Skot Kirkwood (either that or Mark) who mentioned that an innocent-looking shot of the sandcrawler and Lars homestead was actually a special edition shot - a subtle one that I'd missed.
