Not to brag, but to make a small point.
It had only taken me about 2 weeks (in my spare time) to re-do the blue within blue eyes on the FanFiltration Edit of DUNE. You would think that MCA would dish out a few bucks to someone out there (**Waves hands in Air**) to do that for an official version right?
How cheap is that, and why do they hold back all this footage? Why not release the complete scenes? Sure, I can understand when different studios produce extras and don’t allow those extras to be transferred to other companies around the world (eg. "Impressions of Dune"), or who may later release that same title. But dang, give the fans what the fans want. All MCA needs to do is visit to a few DUNE fan sites and newsgroups to see what we have been demanding for years. Time and time again I saw people bitching about the missing blue eyes and the bad re-use of spfx shots in the T.V. version. Well, MCA and this DVD still have not fixed those two major fan sore points!
I'm giving notice, that the only time I will ever buy this title again (I have at least 6 official versions of this film not including the new one), is if and ONLY IF the words "OFFICAL DAVID LYNCH DIRECTOR'S CUT" is on the cover.

"MK2 is meeting with Lynch in the next few weeks to continue negotiations for the 2 Disc Collectors Edition of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. In these next few months, the fate will be decided if MK2 will be releasing Deleted Scenes for this DVD. The 2 Disc Special Edition release has been pushed back to mid 2006 to allow for the final negotiations and to prepare additional extras for this release."
