Info Wanted: SW Trivial Pursuit: Differences between editions?

Can anybody here explain the difference between the different editions of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit? I have the original “Classic Edition” which had 2000 questions about the OT, plus 10 bonus cards about Ep 1.

I understand there was a limited-run Ep I edition with 1000 questions just about that film, designed to work within the Classic Edition. (I think you asked Ep I questions when you were on the spokes of the wheel, but that’s only a guess).

And now there’s the new DVD-based “Saga edition” that boasts 2500 questions about the entire six-film series.

I’m wondering with this new edition, if all 2500 questions are new, or if they re-use questions from the previous two editions. Does anybody know? Google isn’t being very helpful so far. I’d like to have one mondo edition of SW trivial pursuit and don’t know if the new one is a waste.

You know what, that is the same one that I have. I love it so much, but it has been so long since I played it. Nobody ever wanted to play with me because I always won. Well...my brother would play with me and all I remember is that the orange pieces were related to ships and technical crap and he was always better at that than I was.

I saw the saga one for sale at the bookstore and felt disgusted. Almost as much as the chess and Monopoly crap that basically had the PT outshine the original.

Since when are Luke and Leia secondary characters?! Hell, they were a few chess pieces short of being pawns...

I'm sure the new stuff is totally different then the classic stuff.

What I'd like to do, assuming there are enough new questions to justify it, would be to combine the different editions into one. New questions, new pieces, etc. The Classic Trilogy stuff is great and I'd only like to extend it.

I level the odds by playing teams. Everybody else against me. It tends to be quite fair this way, but I've been soundly beaten by my son's godmother when she sided with my wife. His godfather was utterly useless. I was appalled. This man is responsible for my kid if something happens and he can't keep Zuckuss and 4-LOM straight? Bah!!!

Like you guys, no one plays me. My sister can somewhat hold her ground, but we're better matched at the Disney version.

I have some great memories of that game.

My aunt getting it for me for christmas. I then take it to my grandma's and show it off to my uncle. When we open gifts, he got me the same game.

Jumping into someone's game waiting for episode 1. They warned that they were halfway through. We didn't finish the game, but when we stopped, I was winning by a large margin.

Having a card shop use the new version for episode III's premeire. they went down the line, and gave cards as prizes. Everyone around me got simple stuff(who called for Palpatine's emergency powers). I got, "what was mined on Bespin". I answered it knowing full well that no one around me knew the answer.

And of course beating someone at the same premiere. Someone said I needed the new version. Strangely though, they had an uber hard trivia challenge in the theater that I stunk at(so did everybody).
