I must have been 8-9 years old when I watched the OT for the first time and that really made my childhood! I still have a damn ton of those MicroMachines playsets. I even think I got one before I had watched the entire trilogy! The images were enough - I didn't need the story. But when I got it, I admit it was a damn nice bonus!

The PT is okay, but it is nowhere near the masterpiece that is the OT. So I'd go for the 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 running order. The OT is the classic you just have to watch. It's an epic tale of heroes, villains and mysterious planets. The PT not only assumes that you know the universe, but it also deals with much darker themes. I sure as hell wouldn't want to show the Order 66-massacre to a kid at that age. The PT should be the ones you pull out when your kid eventually starts asking you questions about the origins of Darth Vader. And trust me, that question is bound to pop up! I just think you need to watch Anakin's redemption first so he doesn't come across as a Padawan-slaying son-of-a-bitch.
