Does George Lucas have any redeeming qualities?

Late last night, a question popped into my mind - does George Lucas have any redeeming qualities? I wondered for a moment, and this is about the best I could think of -

1) So far George has not murdered any actual living people
2) So far George has not kidnapped anyone
3) So far George has not raped anyone
4) George has never appeared in any internet sex videos [[COUGH:: Paris-Trash-Hilton::COUGH]]

Can you think of any more?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

'Course he has redeeming qualities. He created the movies you love. The movies you are fighting to preserve the original versions of!

... but I am grateful he has yet to make a sex tape.

You sure he didn't rape anyone? I thought the Special Editions was a kind of rape.

Well, he did rape my childhood.

But he was nice enough to share the Star Wars profits with his staff giving out...what? $5,000 in bonuses and stuff? That's pretty nice.

He also defended Irvin Kershner and paid all the fines for him when the Director's Guild got all pissed-anst at him.

Redeeming qualities........

-He created Star Wars
-he respects the brilliance of John Williams
-he did a great job casting the original Star Wars films
-He hired Irvin Kershner to direct Empire and had Lawrence Kasdan finish the screenplay
-He didn't make a second Holiday Special starring Jar Jar Binks and family
-He seems like a really devoted father
-He hasn't replaced OT Yoda with a CGI version
-he changed the movie industry
-Deciding to keep Anthony Daniel's voice for 3PO instead of hiring Richard Dreyfus
-Jar Jar Binks was in Sith for like 2 seconds
-the last 1/3 of Sith was really good
-the Ewoks weren't in the prequels
George Lucas was seduced by the dark side. The OOT ceased to exist in his mind and became the Special Editions...." "They're more maching now than movies. Twisted and evil."

I concur. It doesn't have that echo sound now. It has that "real" Vader sound to it.
