Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

I've been using my DVD recorder to capture PS2 games (see my Episode III The Video Game - The Movie thread), which is fine, but when I try with my PS1, although the video is fine, the sound is terrible. Imagine a 5th copy of a VHS pirate.

Any ideas?
