Oh yes, the image quality is enough to orgasm over. I'm not disputing that. But putting in all that CGI where real live action models were fine, makes the movie look dated. And by that I mean, they look like they were tampered with in the late 90's. "Well, why would they do that," you ask. Well, because Lucas felt that the original looked too old. "But I never noticed," you say. Yeah, I know. You weren't aware that the film was made in the late 70's and early 80's because there was nothing there to tell you that really (aside from mat lines which are easily erased.)
But now that he changed them, you wonder why he did, and then you find out it was because he felt it looked to old, even though you never thought it did, but now you can't help but see it every time you watch the movie... Should have just left it well enough alone.

It's not like we saw people driving around in 1970's Buicks and Lucas has to "update" it and make the streets full of 2005 Nissan's and Fords. Because in 10 years, he'd just update it again and fill the city streets with 2015 model BMWs or something. It will never stop.
