Big thanks to ADM for getting these up in time for judging. When I've recovered from the creeping death that's been afflicting me this week, I'll finish the series of covers and refine the disc art; the concept is there but dehydration and creativity don't play well together.

I'm also considering another, even more alternative, cover that is probably best summed up by the phrase "Frank Miller's Pearl Harbor." But more on that when I actually make it.

ahhaaaaa. The reviewing will begin. I've got everything EXCEPT the last two that were just sent out, and those should probably arrive within the week, I'm guessing.

for the CBB group guys: I got a DVD player that handles NTSC/PAL conversion damn near perfectly, and I'll be watching your edits on my living room system, which is pretty damned good. I won't be able to check it on my front projector, but the 32" CRT is still really nice, and should give me more than a good idea of the picture quality.

i've been watching their's on my cheapo radioshack dvd player that i won from work. i'm actually impressed with the quality of the dvd player, as long as you have it hooked up right.

I have received ADM's Eps IV through VI -- thanks!

I haven't received anything from DAYV yet, though. Is there a definitive list of what each judge should have? Maybe if one could be posted here, so everyone's on the same page? (Please??)

WE DIDN'T GET AS MANY PEOPLE TO ENTER AS I WAS HOPING. WE DID HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE GOING TO ENTER THOUGH. HOWEVER, THAT WILL NOT STOP THE CONTEST. Can I enter the DVD art competiton? I done some OT covers a while ago. They're not great but for me they sum up the OT, and I like 'em.

I was just reading through the intro again and it seems that there is only one entry for the second contest, since no one edited Kill Bill or Alexander or made another edition of Matrix 2 and 3. This would mean that CBB automatically wins this contestdue to missing other contestants. Of course we don't want that. May I make a suggestion: save the price for this contest for next time, when there will be more edits for the specialized contest and let DeZIONized participate just as a regular fanedit among all others.
If I am wrong here and there are other editions in the second contest, forget what I have written above ;-)

What did I get in the mail? Maybe somebody can put this in context for me.

I got two discs:

1. Ep I. Just some brief flipping through shows Neimoidians speaking English, as per usual. Jar Jar's still in, also speaking English.
2. Ep IV. Many of the 2004 scenes still in, but an abbreviated approach to Mos Eisley, and almost nothing in the cantina.

Whose work is this? Gotta know to fill in my judging sheet...
