Getting drunk is getting pissed. ‘Banging on’ is to talk incessantly and uninterestingly, eg ‘my wife won’t stop banging on about the bloody dishes’. Calling someone a ‘bell-end’ is pretty insulting. If someone is a bit shady, or there's just something not quite right about them, you can say they are 'dodgy' (you can also say stuff like 'I've got a dodgy leg'). It's not really an insult but I've never heard it anywhere but here. That’s all I can think of right now, most of your American insults are used here too. When you’ve written the play, run it by me and I will UK it up for you.

A few days ago PSYCHO_DAYV bought something to our attention.
As some of you might know, Rikter’s daughter has had quite a few health problems, and the bills have skyrocketed. It would be great if all of us could send him anywhere from $5-$10 each. I know that it doesn't sound like much, but together it could be a great blessing to him and his family.
I have volunteered to be the middle-man in this little Christmas present for Rikter, so if anybody is interested, they can donate via Paypal to me at ‘mattfitch at hot mail dotcom’ and i will forward the total to Rik on behalf of his friends at OT.com and send him a little spark of hope.
The thing is, I'm going away for the holidays, so there will have to be a deadline for donations, say December 21st? That gives us exactly one week to get all the donations in. I’m sure Rikter has helped many of you in the past to obtain dvds, etc, so now’s a great time to return the favour, and spread a little Christmas cheer.

Hmm... Without paypal I'm not really sure what you can do. I mean, you're in Brazil so it's not like you can even send him cash or a cheque. Paypal's really useful and evry easy to set up. Is there a reason you don't have an account?

If you send money to another country, you pay a small fee or tax to the bank, which will repass that money to the government. Also, you gotta keep track of the money that comes in or out, and PayPall dosen't offer an official, legal way to do it. One could send money to a foreign country keeping no legal tracks and paying no taxes. For that reason, it is illegal to buy stuff from another country through paypall or such unnofficial method (credit cards are ok). It is illegal also to send money through the mail, I have sent coins before but I was kinda nervous the post office would find out (they didn't).
Also, I don't trust PayPall. I will never transfer funds or give information about my bank account to an organization not fully stablished in my country. I only use credit cards for foreign money transfers.

I don't think people are quite grasping the 'if a thread goes off-topic or if you just wanna talk about anything bring it to this thread' concept, so I won't bump it again and if it dies, it dies.
At the SW.com messgaeboards a few days ago, I posted a list of continuity errors I've found in Star Wars. Well, after checking back a few hours later, nearly every comment was some form of flaming for even insisting that there are errors. No joke. And they were trying to explain away even the Leia remembering Padme error. They were telling it to me as if it was some greater knowledge that I was too stupid to notice. And, of course, the mods had no problem with their flames. WTF?
Well, no offense but I have seen some of your 'I was just saying' posts and you have a knack of pissing people off. Anyway, since when do you diss lucas and his plotholes? I thought you were all for the prequels and 'creative decisions'. Or do you flip flop depending on who you're trying to annoy?
I don't. And I really don't think they were his intent, considering his proclamation that he wants everyone to view it as a saga; as one continuous movie. I was pointing out errors that he made. I wasn't criticizing him, just expressing that I was annoyed that errors exist. Most creative decisions that he makes are fine with me. It's the mistakes that he makes that diappoint me; when he accidentally does something, like when he forgot to fix the coloring of the lightsabers for the DVDs because the time was sort to finish them, and he was so concerned with the color timing that he didn't notice the changes in color the color timing made to the lightsabers.
AWK, i think the amount of backlash you get is due in no small part to your unique ability to have far too much to say, yet excruciatingly little to add to any given topic.
now i'm not doubting or denying that you have a great deal of knowledge about Star Wars, and Sci-Fi in general....you just happen to come off as a self-proclaimed know-it-all
