Not that I’m aware of. Although I definitely think the movie could use some fat trimming. The section of Grogu caring for Mando when he’s poisoned seemed to just drag on forever. Might be interesting to see what it would be like if you cut everything after he passes out. Although you might not have to do that - just some slight trimming could be helpful.

Archbagel (who has previously done the entire Mando/Boba Fett series into movies), has some ideas that he’s talked about in his thread. I’m not sure that he’s started anything yet though.

I’ll stick my neck out and say the section of Grogu caring for Mando was my favourite part of the film. It was the only time the film did something different and original (the rest of the film was okay enough, but boils down to watching CGI things hitting or shooting other CGI things).

Those puppetry part with Grogu, and also the Babu Frik band of brothers, felt magical to me like watching an 80s Jim Henson movie, Labyrinth or Dark Crystal. If the whole film had been more like that it could have been really rather special.

I agree that it was good quality, but it felt like something that would be very natural in the TV show format but sticks out like a sore thumb in a movie format where things tend to be a little more fast-paced. Which is why I think you could probably keep it, but be strategic in cutting out certain portions to speed it up.

I have mixed feelings about this scene.
On one hand I am really tired of the "oh we killed a hero/no we didn’t ha-ha’’ thing.
On the other hand my take on Grogu from everything that I’ve seen is that I feel like he’s kind of ambiguous about the Jedi training, I feel like injuring/killing opponents is something that he really doesn’t want to do unless he has to. I feel like Grogu’s primary force use interest is de-escalation or using the force to end the conflict without particularly hurting the opponent and I really like that angle of force user - and would like to see it developed even more with this character however I think this end of the franchise is going to peter out for a while.

Agreed. That was magical. I adored that whole section so much. It was very emotional for me. And, yeah, anything with the Amelia’s, I think they are, I loved.
