Oh, you bet!

TPM - I must've been 11 back then. Of course, I really liked it. And Jar Jar was not just funny. He was "cool". I shudder today, but it was quite an experience back then. I remember that my door and walls were plastered with newspaper cut-outs about it. It was the new Star Wars movie, man! For a kid who'd been a hardcore OT fan since seeing most of ROTJ on TV (taped - it ran out just before Vader attacked Palpatine!), this was big news!

AOTC - Well, I thought it was decent. Mostly because of Jango Fett. The biggest memory I have is that the film broke just before Obi-Wan is caught on Geonosis. Total darkness and people laughing and screaming "Hello?". But it was nowhere near as big at TPM! By now, I had however realised the facts that TPM's humour was miserable and that Jar Jar was not cool, but a complete and utter idiot.

ROTS - Officially, I was sick, but my parents gave me an extra day home so I could round off the saga. This time, the movie surpassed my expectations. I thought it was absolutely fantastic apart from the minor problems. The Order 66-scene nearly made me cry (it's still surprisingly gut-wrenching for me to watch) and Vader's first breath was the moment I had been waiting for since the announcement of Episode I. It gave me the chills. At that time, the "NOOOOOOO!!!" was the least of my problems. Like the aforementioned masked man once said "The circle is now complete".

So overall, TPM probably means the most to me. But it pales in comparison to watching the SE on the big screen, or the Christmas back in '97 where I got the SE VHS box from my parents. The SE is one of the biggest part of my childhood. Yes, I'm a freak. But it was good times...
