Man, the restored deleted scenes combined with Adywan’s new ANH:R HD footage + tweaked sc.38 would make a definitive version of the movie for me. I will argue against the Jabba scene tho. It’s honestly redundant with information we’re already aware of and it kind of doesn’t make sense given how Jabba looks in RotJ later, as well as why he’d let Han talk to him like that. That’s one deleted scene we could do without imo
Think Jabba works better as a hologram if the scene stays but would work if jabba was a little more of the ROTJ version in that hologram… kind of a tough FX to pull off unless AI, but not really into going heavy with AI that atm. I dont neccasrily think that Jabba worries too much about han trying to talk his way out of getting an extention as I am sure he is used to that and working deals…meaning the way Han talks to him is in character for Han i think if the scene is to stays that it… Yea keeping it could go either way, but since my version is an extended version and that scene was in the novel, comic and script, would be a reason to include in a full cut. If feedback is strong to exclude it I could always make a segment for folks to add with it gone (but still dissolves to the Vader and Bask hallway walk scene).
Right now I am waiting on a member of the forum to share their tosche biggs and luke walk which they did a good job on, but has water marks and “subscribe” now added on top of it, since they posted on youtube and are trying to get subscribers I guess. I rather have the best quality of that so holding a few weeks on a V1.5 waiting for that is all.
