I think the prequel reframes Obi-Wan as a consummate liar.

Obi-Wan wanted Luke to believe he was a good friend to Anakin. That Anakin was amazing star pilot and a cunning warrior. Best Starpilot in the galaxy. He never owned a droid Obi Wan claimed. Yoda was the Master who trained him, It was actually Qui-Gon. He also claimed Anakin wanted to give his son that lightsaber and Owen disagreed with his not minding his farming.

None of this is in the prequel. Anakin isn’t the best at anything. He even loses every duel he doesn’t win through trickery or murder.

Kenobi is a better lightsaber duelist than him. Dooku is better.

At best Anakin accidentally blows up a trade federation droid control ship in the phantom menace. and as a child could race pods as a prodigy

He has nothing on Luke in the OT who comes from nowhere and nothing, shakes the very fabric and foundations of the Empire. Outflies anyone that isn’t Vader. Outfights everyone and even defeats Vader in ROTJ.

Only Vader IN TESB is so terrifyingly strong. you would think in the Prequel it would lead up to that. The Great Jedi purge. But he is coward who kills defenseless children Younglings. He kills Tusken women and children.

Kills Dooku in murder instead of showing Mercy and letting him surrender.

Obi-Wan doesn’t even give Anakin the coup De grace on Mustafar. He just lets him burn. The way the Jedi act and don’t act in the prequel is absurd.

Mace we are just going to arrest Palpatine with a few Jedi. Yoda the Dark side clouds everything. And they keep making stupid political decisions on that Jedi council and allowing Sidious to use them as chess pieces.
