Maul Shadow Lord was released at the wrong time

Imagine if Maul Shadow lord was released before the sequel trilogy and showed Maul’s story of rising up through the ranks as a new gang leader and his gang gaining more power until himself and Talon become the next big villains of the galaxy and the new villains of the sequel trilogy. This is what George wanted to do with the sequels until he sold Lucasfilm. This would be a very impressive improvement than what we really got. (Retconning Maul’s death by Kenobi in Rebels which I hate).

Totally agree. Maul probably has the potential to be one of the most interesting villians in the insanely stacked cast of villains in the Star Wars universe. How different stories handled/are handling him is soo spotty though. The whole Maul arc in the last season of Clone Wars, for instance, was executed pretty much perfectly imo, while the last second inclusion of him in “Solo” felt like at most an afterthought. To me, it felt most like a Marvel-esque post scene hype scene than an actual story beat.

Maul in clone wars was perfect, but I don’t know why Disney never ran with Maul’s giant villain arc. Almost seemed like they were teasing his return in Solo for the Rise Of Skywalker but it never happened. Maul could have been the new emperor if you will, with two apprentices Kylo-Ren and Talon.

Always three there are!

I agree, if they were going to bring Maul back at all, then just after Solo would have been a fitting time.

Devon should have been Darth Talon i hope thats the case in the next season i also would have liked the show to be live action i would have loved to see Darth Maul again in live action i honestly feel that Star Wars is losing a lot of popularity these days because shows like Andor and Maul Shadow Lord would have been more watched in another era
