For the sake of saving space, I'm going to start converting some of my TV show DVDs to thinpaks. The first up is Gundam Seed. Here's a design I've finally worked out:

Basically, I'll scan in the official cover of the DVDs and use that as the front, then do something on the back with screenshots for each of the eps on the DVD, and then the spines will create the pic of the hero's mecha from the second half of the series.

hey, does anyone know how to get a 3D Cover "Digipak" version?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about... it's the paperish DVD box.
Used for the Matrix Ultimate Collection, PANIC ROOM, and the LOTR EXTENDED EDITIONS.
I love Digipak!

ADM posted a link in his non-Star Wars stuff thread, but I suppose it bears repetition here. It's a YouSendIt link to a .rar archive of all four covers in JPG format at 300 dpi. It's about 15 MB.

This link is good until Sunday afternoon or it's been downloaded 25 times, whichever comes first. If you get to the party too late, let me know and I'll repost it. Also, if anybody out there would prefer PNGs (some folks say they print better than JPGs), let me know and I'll toss them up later tonight.

If you're getting ADM's Pearl Harbor from MySpleen, mine and Rikter's covers are part of that download.

thanks to all who make these kickass covers - Rik's Pearl Harbor covers enticed me into being excited about Pearl Harbor, which I'm looking forward to (despite the naysayers)

I've had a yearning for a few alternate dvd covers for some existing dvd releases (like the Serenity covers, which I'm eagerly anticipating as well) - Soderburgh's Out of Sight in particular

this was the theatrical release poster

it ticks me off when they destroy great imagery for films in favor of headshots of actors - same thing with Lost Highway (which still isn't available in the US in widescreen)
