Whoever made it canon that the DS has hyperspace is an absolute idiot.
IIRC the explanation is that there isn’t a hyperspace lane that leads to that position. Hyperspace has specific lanes that determine where you drop.
I kind of assumed it was always meant to have hyperspace considering how quickly it moves around.
