That would work in some sense...except that I don't think Anakin was expecting to die...or join the darkside, or be away from his child in any sense. It might make more sense if he said that he wanted his son to be a Jedi or something...but that wouldn't really be lightsaber-specific. I think the best and easiest way to take care of that is to just do what I did and replace "Your father" with "I". And when you think about it, it makes a lot more sense. Little things like this are what makes the saga feel more consistent and complete, just like Battlewars said.

I strongly dissagree about the being away from his child bit. In the beggining of the movie he mentions he wouldn't even have come back if the Chancellor weren't kidnapped. Plus, if you do have something where he talks about his child being a jedi. I think it would have to be lightsaber specific because, in AOTC he looses his lightsaber during the chase, then his lightsaber gets cut at the factory. Saying that he want's his kid to have it puts more importance on it[sort of like saying "There's no way I'm losing this one."]. I agree that putting "I" in it's place would be easier but, I dissagree that it's the best way. The best way would to have the jedi not be against marriage and, such. Then, Anakin could tell Obiwan sometime after finding out he's going to have a child. In any case I'm just suggesting ideas if you pull off getting the actors for reshoots[if you do get them to do reshoots might as, well try to make the PT fit the OT more and, not the other way around].
