I’d rather that the film didn’t stop for 8 minutes when it needs to be moving fast during the DS escape, TIE fighter battle, and arriving on Yavin IV. It’s slow and awkward as hell, and also it’s AI and looks modern and crisp. Same issue as SC38 Reimagined. Just sticks out like a sore thumb.
If there is one thing I do like about AI is that you can fix little errors. Seeing how Vader’s face looks here is better than the makeup on Sebastian Shaw. It would be interesting to see someone do an AI makeover of that scene in JEDI, to the degree of just finessing Vader’s face.
Regardless, I do agree that these fan films are nice to the degree of seeing more material, but I don’t think they should be included in the movie. Then again, this is a “fan edit” site, so the more the merrier.
