Need Help with Color Correction Shots

Hi Everyone,

I’m making my own 1080p fan edits of the Original Trilogy, using the SHD Blu Rays and Harmy’s Despecialized Edition v2.5 as my sources. I’ll be reinstating some shots of the original version that Harmy restored, while keeping some of the Special Edition Changes that I like. My one issue that I need help with:

I have color deficiencies. While I can see there’s a difference in color between the Blue Ray version and the Despecialized version even after applying match to the reference shot, I don’t know how to fine tune the coloring.

I’m currently working on my ROTJ edit.

My goal is to match the Despecialized shots I am putting back in to match the Blu Ray version. Is there anyone that can and willing to help me accomplish this?

I won’t lie the way I handled this is by using ChatGPT for assistance, My eyesight is also bad so with thing’s like comparing shots and know which is the right tool to use with your software it really helped a lot.

I tried using Chat GPT to give me step by step instructions, but it always ended up short (sometimes even taking the shot in the wrong direction). Maybe it’s also color blind and doesn’t even know it haha

It would be more efficient to put everything into a folder, both the blu ray reference and Despecialized shots.
Especially if you’ve made changes to the blu-ray’s grade, I’m gonna need to know how to match it.

Ok great! I haven’t made any changes to the Blu Ray grade. I’ll dm you once I have the shots all organized in a folder. I really appreciate it!
