I’m not throwing my weight around. Just sharing my opinion which happens to be at odds with you. I didn’t mean any offense.

No hard feeling, its not what you said its the way you said it. ngl that reference went whoosh.

I’m not sure why we have this argument every few months. Tatooine has blue skies. Get over it.

Saying ‘get over it’ is kinda considered snarky my guy

Yeah, I know. I was referencing an infamous Star Wars video title, “The special editions ARE the movies, get over it” by Rick Worley. I wasn’t being serious with that line. Either way, I’m sorry for being brass.

fair enough! I love a good reference so nice callback, i stand corrected!

How do you all like the TESB shots in that video compared to how they look in TESB:R?

Author

TESB:R is my go to version. Watched it many times. It looks great and has SO many needed improvements and fixes (Cloud City, the emperor, the first shot of the snowspeeders flying over, I could go on). That being said, the shots in the youtube video look absolutely phenomenal. If it ends up being a blu-ray release like many of us are hoping, I bet you could take some of the new/improved shots from revisted to replace those in this new restoration and you’d hardly be able to see the difference. Revisted looks that good.

It almost feels like MAGIC the way Adywan took the 2011 Blu-Ray transfers and improved on them in every way.

Yeah but what about the blue milk?😁

Woah there, Bingo, only one blue topic at a time!! 😄

All I can say is Mrs Wan is very progressive letting Ady work on all these blue movies.

Anticipation.

For seventeen years the renegade Pfhor scoutship jumped between the closely packed stars of the galactic core. And all over the ship, dancing through the wreckage of the Pfhor computer core, Durandal was laughing…

I don’t know how long this will last due to the bandwidth restrictions , but it was my only option. You can view the preview or download the clip to see it in better quality ( which is what i would recommend )

I do not believe that the copyright bot cares what you write in the description. Fair Use and other US copyright law terms apply whether or not you put something in a video description. This is like the idea that posting a particular copy-pasted paragraph on Facebook somehow protects you from their data collection; it does nothing.

Correct! You’re better off removing music or play it at a 25% + or - speed. Clips under 8 seconds usually get past.

I just rewatched the OG ANH:R after watching Rogue One. It’s held up very well. A couple of suggestions that sprung to mind. Some of the Death Star set decorations aren’t looking very solid for a state of the art Imperial fortress but the great thing is it’s only really noticeable when the camera is static. I don’t know if it’s possible to make photo collage mattes to just make some of the fixtures and wall panels look less Blue Peter. Some of the bobbly bits near the tractor beam control corridor particularly looked like they might fall off. I have said it before but some of the Rogue One additions really sat well in that universe so maybe adding K2 droids and some background staff from Rogue One into Yavin base would be welcome. When the station is being hit by fighter fire might be a good chance to swap out a generic corridor. Maybe have a K2 droid come a cropper of one of those explosions. There were some really nice variations of positioning with the moon and Yavin in Andor and Rogue one which might serve as inspiration for replacement shots. One probably impossible suggestion is have Ben get as far as the door to the hanger and have Vader standing their blocking his path with his saber already ignited and then have Vader fight him back for a while before they both get back to the hanger door and draw the attention of the troops guarding the ship. It would be a more iconic entrance for Vader framed in the hanger door than strolling up another generic corridor. I’m thinking the Balrog Vs Gandalf (which was obviously what Marcia had in mind when she suggested killing Ben off). My memory of the Radio adaptation isnt 100% but when Luke is dwelling on Ben’s death there are a few shots of Threepio blankly sitting there. In the radio version I think he says that Ben was nice to Artoo and himself which sounds like the sort of thing a protocol droid might say. Being Threepio there’s no problems with lipsynch. ++UPDATE {this was me misremembering dialogue from Heir to the Empire} +++ My previous suggestion of not only adjusting the blue squadron helmets to red but having them based on helmets seen in the battle holds. Though I suppose if more ships were added one could add new pilot reactions with the generic insignia helmets. It was a joy to watch it again. I look forward to the the new version. I got a lump in my throat when Moth3r came up in the credits.

It doesn’t matter. Even if it’s taken down you can file to have it put back up. You can do so under Fair Use. Add the above text with the reinstatement request. The only this is you can’t monetize a Fair Use video, but you wouldn’t anyway.

Say what you want about AI but I am loving these filler moments. This is Vader reacting to Obi-Wan’s becoming more powerful with the Force moment. Even Palpatine is kinda freaking out about it.

PixelJoker had a nice philosophy about AI video concerning his Kenobi edit: it’s like opening Pandora’s box. Even if we were to reach the point where it becomes indistinguishable from the original footage, I sincerely hope that Ady doesn’t even touch this stuff with a 10 foot pole or we may never see his edits completed. Plus, I think it’s important for the pacing of the original movie to remain mostly intact.

Personally, I’ve only ever used it as a substitute for VFX skills, taking a still shot from a movie and adding a different element to it for a 2 second clip. Clearly Ady shouldn’t even need to do this given his obvious talent in this department.

Itsss… Interesting, but not much more. It’s lower quality acting than you get in p*rn. Unserprisingly rather lifeless, stiff, with no real emotion, no passion. And as always, the AI can’t maintane consitantcy between shots. Yes the fedelity has improved, but not the quality. The fact is how ever much they improved the rendering, the way in witch these models comprehend information will never allow them do the things people want for long videos. It would require a fundimental change in how they remember information, which would require retraining, which would then lose them the “high quality” feel people find so appealing. A lose lose.

Don’t you think the Tatooine sky in the clip from a few months ago looks a little too blue? It’s supposed to be a harsh desert planet, and the sky shouldn’t look like it has so much water.

You’d think with all that water up there someone would set up a moisture farm.

Would you believe that a paler sky is indicative of more moisture?

The more blue a sky is the less water there is. The higher moisture or humidity would entail a whiter more overcast sky.

Yeah, I used to live in Moab, Utah which is a desert environment, and I’ve never seen bluer skies. It was a very pretty place to live (but too dang expensive lol).
