Well, not really since we're still very much involved in world affairs...

Can you think of a better word to express what I assume we all* understand to be the subject? Policentricity, maybe? We could go Latinate, and try civicentric, genocentric, or patriacentric. The first of the three is rather civilizational (or municipal!), and the second subnational, but the third is a nicely national notion. Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori, after all.

Everyone has to remember though that the PT is going to mean different things to different people in the coming decades. I'm sure for many people in my generation the PT will represent what the OT means to you. There are kids the same age as you were when you saw the OT now seeing the PT. Even though the PT is targeted mainly at my generation I just plain don't care for them. Just like I don't care for how Lucas is trying to make the OT look like it was released alongside the PT. As much as you try Lucas you can't hide the fact these films were made in the late 70's and early 80's. (Sorry for the hijacking)

Oh yes, the image quality is enough to orgasm over. I'm not disputing that. But putting in all that CGI where real live action models were fine, makes the movie look dated. And by that I mean, they look like they were tampered with in the late 90's. "Well, why would they do that," you ask. Well, because Lucas felt that the original looked too old. "But I never noticed," you say. Yeah, I know. You weren't aware that the film was made in the late 70's and early 80's because there was nothing there to tell you that really (aside from mat lines which are easily erased.)
But now that he changed them, you wonder why he did, and then you find out it was because he felt it looked to old, even though you never thought it did, but now you can't help but see it every time you watch the movie... Should have just left it well enough alone.

It's not like we saw people driving around in 1970's Buicks and Lucas has to "update" it and make the streets full of 2005 Nissan's and Fords. Because in 10 years, he'd just update it again and fill the city streets with 2015 model BMWs or something. It will never stop.

Alright. I'll dispute it. The color grading is all jacked up. That's not enough to get me off. ILM bragged about how good they are at this, then LFL outsourced it to Lowry who did a rush job and screwed it all up.
