I just saw this on reddit. This is how I remember these movies looking when I was a kid. It appears I’m a little late to the party, so here’s hoping MJBenito will return. Would love to see these
I’ve been doing color grading on some videos using DaVinci Resolve Studio for a few years now.
I’m really curious about how you removed that green tint — it honestly inspired me a lot.
How did you do it? What software did you use?
Was it just a small color tweak?
Also, about the upscale… I’m not super familiar with Topaz, but was that what you used?
Amazing project, by the way. Huge respect for the time and effort you put into it.
Hey, just discovered this. I’m stunned that there’s been so much controversy surrounding the films. I never suspected!
Hello, thank you for this spectacular work. I would like to know whether it also includes the audio in Spanish or only the original English version. Best regards.
This looks so incredible! I cannot even fathom the level of amount of work this must have taken to make happen. I saw these movies in the theater when I was a kid, and my grown up self and 9 year old self thank you so much for the hard work! ❤️
Those screenshots look stunning, it’s a real shame they butchered the official 4K blu-ray releases.
I have a growing interest in color grading and color science - and your work looks great! I would also love to know more about your process. I might tinker with my own Blu-ray copy to see what I come up with, but more as an experiment than anything else. It clearly took a lot of work for you to restore these!
Looks absolutely brilliant! Fantastic job! These are up there with my favourite movies of all time, I’m looking forward watching these with the “correct” colors 😃
This is an amazing effort! I want to express my gratitude for the work that went into this. I can’t imagine how many hours must have been spent on this
