The first episode was certainly interesting and different. The second one was very Star Trek 90210. Is the whole show going to be like a high school drama and romance or will they ever go into space on a starship.

It does not feel very Star Trek there is no exploring strange new worlds. Its a show about school kids.

I honestly don’t understand the Kurtzman era they are just obsessed making everything but Star Trek.

Then even had a show Strange New Worlds a prequel to TOS and completely wasted it on situation comedy and live action cartoons, musicals and apparently, they want to do a puppet show. Why? Not to mention the constant romance subplots like a CW show.

When you go to watch Star Trek you expect Star Trek not Vampire Diaries.

And when no one likes any of the new shows the refrain is you all just want endless TNG continued. It sounds an awful lot like the Disney Star Wars people, you just expect the OT to continue forever. No in both cases we expected Star Trek, We expected Star Wars.
