The Mandalorian and Grogu isn’t even out yet, and I can’t wait for ACBagel’s take on it xddd

We’ve finished book 4 and apparently that film was the best out of all Star Wars content so far (other than acolyte we’ve done EVERYTHING leading up to this). Lots of concern for baby yoda and when Boba finally made his appearance she thought he was going to be the villain which made the stand off more tense due to the Boba sniping scene in the previous movie.
I know it’s old rope by now but having him reveal his face here first at the end makes it so much more impactful, it hit wonderfully.
Yes, Book 4 truly feels like an “event” film. The buildup to Boba, having gotten to know him over the previous movies, makes it so much more exciting when they finally meet. And it was exciting in the show already, but in the new version, it’s next level. Meeting Ahsoka, Boba, involving Bo-katan, seeing Din for the first time… it feels like an Avengers movie having been built up from all its other little movies. So much payoff. Definitely some of the best Star Wars content.
Bad news is she is dying to watch more now and we only have Ahsoka and your book 5 I need to drag out!
My opinion (after watching everything with my wife last year similar to you). Watching Ahsoka after Book 4 works really well, because obviously Book 4 just introduced live action Ahsoka, and then you jump into her story. But also because, it makes the time that Grogu and Mando are separated even longer than Bagel already makes it, which I think, the longer the better.
The ending of 5 is kind of hype where you just want to jump right into 6, so I think watching Book 4, then Ahsoka, then continuing with Bagel’s movies 5 (and eventually 6) works best.
My preference for Ahsoka is the single movie Patterson cut. Like Bagel he puts a lot of effort in and does some special effects work on certain scenes, makes the whole thing fun, colorful and poppy. My wife had not even watched Rebels, and she thought Ahsoka (Patterson cut) was a ton of fun.

Great minds think alike! Plan was always to do Ahsoka after book 4 then 5, 6, thought I actually prefer DerekWhim’s the Phantom Jedi for that series. Though a little longer, it most notably includes the stormtrooper battle on entering the temple during the end (though heavily cut because watching them deflect shots for a few minutes was just awkwardly done). I did use Patterson’s second boba edit prior to acbagel taking it on which was a good edit.
My partner liked Rebels more than I did so am optimistic for that showing! I wish there was an edit which included all of the zombie content without being a +3hr edit though, best part of the series for me (well, after Ani) and the way things appear I’ll never see it again haha
Tempted to show her an acolyte edit after Ahsoka if we are anticipating book 6 coming out in some time to stall a bit longer, it’s the only thing I hadn’t shown her because I didn’t really want that to lead with that for the franchise
