They are always looking for who is hot as a director/ producer or the next trend. Sometimes this hilariously does not work out for them like Josh Trank, or Benioff and Weiss. Or Colin Trevorrow, or Lord and Miller. Or Rian Johnson.

Rian’s trilogy never even had a treatment. They seriously talk up movies all the time that are nothing more than what in the video game space would be known as vaporware.

Then you have people with very little to show for their contribution like Simon Kinberg who did Rebels and nothing else. a fake movie trilogy was announced, even less real than the Rey movie, which is not on the schedule before the end of the decade.

A new Chairperson could take Star Wars and pull it out of the ditch it is in, if they get the money people to start greenlighting projects and not cancelling like 97% of them.

The only positive I see since 2019 is Andor and the remaster of Star Wars 1977. Maybe I could say okay, Visions is interesting.

I would not mind some new comics and books that are of good quality though, it does not have to be a movie every two years.

Lucasfilm should expand beyond Star Wars. But if they can’t do Star Wars well how can they create new IP, or even resurrect Indiana Jones as an IP.

You could do an animated series with that, you could do streaming shows. Comics and new books. And all they have done is one film and one video game for Indiana Jones. Not to mention how they erased the Willow show like they never made it.

Indiana Jones they won’t even reprint the comic books from Marvel and Dark Horse in Marvel Epic Collection. Even Star Wars legends which Disney erased from existence within Star Wars canon, gets lots of new editions of books under the legends label.
