People act like executives are behind the camera or something, as if the people who actually write, direct, act, edit, photograph and compose the things have nothing to do with it. They’re execs, and they’re running an entire studio, nobody in that position (not John Calley, not Sid Sheinberg, not Alan Ladd, not Sherry Lansing, not Michael Eisner, not Tom Rothman, and definitely not David Zaslav, lol) actually bats 1.000 ever. You’re going to take L’s if you run a film company, and every studio exec gets their time in the barrel (multiple times if they’re lucky).
