Thanks ImperialFighter, I enjoyed reading your post. Indeed, I understand the arguments against the Jabba scene (redundant with Greedo, repeats some of Greedo’s lines, removes some of the mystery before Return of the Jedi, etc etc). But I guess I go back to why I kept the sea monsters in Episode I, one of the few Phantom Edit cuts I didn’t imitate, I really like the creatures - my Dad once told me when I was a kid Star Wars is all about “hokey aliens.” Well, I love those hokey aliens. It’s one of the few Special Edition changes I actually liked, I just never liked how Jabba looked.

But again, certainly an understandable perspective. And I was originally going to reply to the earlier post, but one thing I’ve noticed over the years is when someone misses a technical question you often don’t have to respond, someone else will come in and explain it better than you can.
