I have been considering doing an edit of AOTC with a ton of narrative changes and rearranging some scenes (eg. Shmi’s funeral taking place at the end of the film. If I were to, I’d hybrid TPM and AOTC into one hour thirty something movie, from the pov of Anakin and Padme.

Any thoughts on how to make the battle droids less silly or better still actually sinister? They look skeletal maybe having them scream machine code like the skeleton warriors in Jason and the Argonauts as they charge into battle would be unnerving. Or maybe have their eyes change as they go into attack mode.

Forgive me if this idea belongs in the ‘Worst Ideas’ thread, but had an idea of now some of us are able to use a.i generated audio what about replacing the opening crawl with a narration of the crawl instead.
So for say The Phantom Menace you would have Quigon, for Attack of the clones Padame and Revenge of the Sith Anakin.
Obviously this may belong in the worst ideas thread but hearing it in my head sounds pretty cool and a bit of a call back to some of the old fantasy films.

I think this is no worst idea. Especially TCW fans will like it.

I think it would be cool to change Palpatines line to Anakin at the end of the movie to something that implies that palpatine is freeing his mom? Maybe we could even add her to the celebrations at the end. I think such a change would greatly benefit the dynamic between Palpatine and Anakin. The Jedi didnt free his mom and even forbid him to see her, but Palpatine freed her and through him he is able to stay in contact with her.
This way we could also easily cut Watto’s scene from episode 2. There’s no explanation needed to where she is if it is implied that Palpatine is keeping contact with her on Anakin’s behalf.

You could alter the one exchange between Anakin and Palpatine in TPM to something like:
“And YOU, young Skywalker, maybe we can do something about freeing your mother.”

It’s a really cool idea but I do think it helps more if she isn’t freed as that would drive his anger even more at the Jedi for not helping especially when you think of what he did to help them in TPM.
Just my thoughts tho, still a very cool idea.
