With great struggle and a hermit existence towards the end, I finally managed to submit my PhD dissertation. This was despite my supervisor telling me to quit because they’d decided that I wouldn’t finish as I was struggling with cancer and the deaths of two close family members.
When I insisted on continuing, they sought to have me removed from the programme by blocking my access to an extension that would’ve suspended my studies whilst I underwent surgery that involved several months of recovery time. Nonetheless, I managed to circumvent their sabotage and submit my thesis.
I’m mostly satisfied with the submitted version and I’ll address the shortcomings when I enter the corrections phase after I’ve passed the viva exam. Fingers crossed! 😃
My cap doffed - and fingers also crossed for you, Jay mate. 👍
