About the subtitles, I have no idea what you are talking about... but maybe there is another Pelle around here?

He was actually refering to me, and my name isn't Pele, it's Petros, but both begin by "Pe", hence the confusion I suppose.

As for the torrent stuff, as I promised you ocp, Special Edition Hype and Ewok will be there very soon, and hopefully ROTJ CE too, when I get it from you.
And now, for your feature presentation:
The Classic Re-re-re-release of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.
In this version the word "WOOKIE" has been changed to "HAIR CHALLENGED ANIMAL" and the entire cast has been digitally replaced by Ewoks.

Crap. I'm so confused these days for some reason. I got Bob's name wrong, twice. I need sleep.

OCP, in your classic editions, did you use the original opening crawls from the laserdiscs, or did you use the re-done CG-rendered opening crawls from the 2004 DVDs?

The crawls were not redone for the DVDs. (Actually ANH might have been.)

If they're CG-rendered rather than simply cleaned, they were quite faithful in duplicating the originals - in the original crawls for all 6 movies, 5 of them have four dots at the end " . . . . " while ROTJ is the only one out of all 6 that has three " . . . " and the official DVDs reflect this.

Well, it's just that I had read an article somewhere that explained John Knoll's involvement in the prequels, and the tradition he had of creating the opening crawls for them on his mac. Well, near the end of the article, it talked of how he "finished" the process by re-doing the crawls of the OT on his computer as well. I can't remembver where I read this, but it was definately a legit article.

Hello! I;ve been browsing these forums for months now and this forum caught My interest. I would REALLY like a copy of this one

From the Star Wars.com article linked in this thread:

Two more delicate adjustment had to be done "by eye", the first one being color. "We laid out several different color samples, and compared them to the old roll-ups," explains Knoll. "It was only a matter of choosing the one shade that was exactly like what they had used in the classic Trilogy."

That's interesting, because both Episodes I and II's scrolls and main titles are orange-tinted, where III-VI are pretty much straight up yellow.

Here at long last are the menus.

http://orangecow.org/starwars/rojclassicmenu1.jpg

The style is exactly the same as Empire Classic. And fits well with Star Wars Classic as well. As with the previous two, Van Ling's great menus were modified to fit this version (which is my comment on how the official DVDs have been modified to fit this version).

Music: "Ewok Celebration!"

http://orangecow.org/starwars/rojclassicmenu4.jpg

Music: "Lapti Nek!"

Music: "Emperor's Theme."

Did you lift the isolated scores from the EditDroid or ISOMIX editions? If you didn't, how did you address the Lapti Nek/Sail Barge music issue?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful menus, Ocpmovie. Is is ready to be distributed yet? I'd love a copy of it. I've gotten SW Classic and ESB classic from you, and they were great!

oh, yes. so would I. the best part of it would be that I would finally be able to forgive george Lucas fully and completely and admire him again. (I'd still buy an offical DVD of the Original versions if they came out, even if they wouldn't be as good as this!).

One question, is this anamorphic?

Chapter selections match and are from the 2004 DVDs.

The isolated score is courtesy of Editdroid. I don't hear the sail barge music in it (I expected something sourced from one of the Making Of specials), but there is an instrumental version of Lapti Nek which took me by surprise. Don't know source on that.

Almost ready. A lot of people have already asked me for this disc, and I'll be fulfilling that soon.

The sound, which was in sync when I used the Cowclops audio, magically went all out of sync again when I used the 2004, so I'll have to redo it from scratch as I did Empire.

There is one main menu, and two different versions of the "options" menu. I liked the emperor one too much to not use it somewhere.

The "emperor" menu is almost an easter egg, actually - it doesn't appear when the disc first loads, but replaces the carbonite menu soon after.

I've just put on some pretty extensive easter eggs. =D About 9min worth of extra video.

I could have gone even crazier with them, but I don't want to stuff the dual layer up too full, as I'd like it to still be shrinkable to single layer size without ruining it - most people will be watching it that way.

Also, some of the easter eggs I wanted I couldn't get to rip right for some reason.
