Would it be possible to still request this link? Would love to watch one of my favorite Christmas movies just in time for Christmas. Please and thank you

Why not simply send a PM to Kreep as he requested anyone interested in acquiring his project does in the OP of the htread?:-

PM me for a link.

Also…

In general, simply sending a PM is the default way of asking for fan projects on here (unless indicated / instructed otherwise in the project thread)

❕ I have found a Fan Edit / Preservation I am interested in - but I don’t know how to get / acquire / download it? ❕

Please note that cluttering up the project threads with ‘link request’ posts is not only poor form - but is also against the rules & guidelines here - the reasons for which can be found below…

Hi Kreep,

Good work. But I wanted to mention something. The 4K version is oversaturated and the shadow detail is bad, yes. But the details are better than any Blu-Ray version, including the one you created. So what should be done is altering and improving the 4K version, and not using the Blu-Ray version and improving it. See if you can fix the 4K version with improved and less saturated colors and better shadow detail. Perhaps that could be another project for you 😃. Just a thought.

The combination of the oversaturation, blown-out highlights, crushed blacks, poor colour grading, and lossy video bitrate make the 4K stream quite difficult to use as a primary source. If using the 4K alone, there is not much that can be done to recover what isn’t there in regards to crushed blacks and blown-out highlights.

Buuut, we’ve gotten our hands on quite a better 4K source, so we’re currently in the process of bringing out a V2 of this project 😉 My brother’s skills at combining elements from multiple video sources has improved drastically since V1 also, so this new release will use a lot more of the 4K transfer. So far, we’re about 15min into the movie, averaging about 1 hour in real life per minute of runtime, so it’s a lonnng process. So far, it’s looking great.

Curious, what is that source?

We previously used GASMASK’s 4K release. We’re now using FLUX for the most part. The grain retention in particular is way better, as well as slightly less crushed blacks. I’m pretty sure they’re both pinched from Disney+.
