I guess it’s about a time and a place. Is the discussion of the wealthy one-percent, animal cruelty, or war profiteering appropriate for SW? Probably not. Does it lead to anything useful in a story arc? Nope. Those animals will be captured later and the arms deals with continue as if nothing happened, nobody really learns or progresses as a result (though that’s potentially a TROS issue). That being said it’s one of those things that even in a well written script (aka Andor) it doesn’t gel with the space opera genre itself.
