I was quite shocked at that price tag… Before realizing, that it is in Yen, not Dollars or Euro… 😱

Haha yeah, that number in dollars one might spend for the HiVision MUSE, but in this case it’s actually quite cheap and including shipping. 😃

Probably the PIBF-91219, but I’ll report back.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but one year later, did anybody manage to sync the CDS track from Live R1 DVD to the 2015 Blu Ray…?

People who alter or destroy works of art and our cultural heritage for profit or as an exercise of power are barbarians, and if the laws of the United States continue to condone this behavior, history will surely classify us as a barbaric society.

Depends on how much the BD from 2015 again differs to the former Skynet Edition (by the way, why release a movie once in a proper way if you can release it instead uncountable times in mediocre quality, right?), as at least the AC3 has already been successfully synchronized years ago by Jonno here in the forum.

Just got me that 1997 DVD for dirt cheap, as soon as it arrives I’ll try to sync it to my HDDVD theatrical cut.

I recall the french BD being some sort of hybrid between the CDS and the newer 5.1
Someone on one of these forums did a close comparison of them, but I can’t seem to find it now.

That one might be the correct one, i think this is the one, I got. I am not sure if StudioCanal reissued another two disc BD release in France…

I listened to the Audio cues of the DVDs and BDs too much.

Where did you find that scan? Is it HD?

With ac3 coding it might be the original sources Audio encoded… Because it is easy to find the CDs mix as DTS from the japanese DVD these days… If the Audio was scannend/encoded from the Films optical audio, you might notice some analoge no is, like scratches… (except, if the Audio on the Film was kept flawless.)

HANG ON, THE SUPER 35MM SCAN OF TERMINATOR 2 EXISTS?!?

Its a 4k scan but it’s been hard matted to original aspect ratio (2.39:1) on transfer sadly, although its better than the optical wb and the robs projects scan though in terms of color, i think the stability of the image and contrast is a touch cleaner on the optical wb scan. Came across it on Reddit but the post since been deleted so i cant vouch for its authenticity.
