I’m a longtime lurker here and I just started to get into laserdisc audio preservations earlier this year. I’ve now amassed a pretty decent collection of remuxes so I thought I’d share some of them, beginning with this project I just finished. The only audio available on the Special Longer Version UHD is a Dolby Digital 2.0 mix, which does actually sound pretty good but I decided to create a hybrid version using the PCM stereo track from the theatrical cut laserdisc as the base with the SLV edits spliced in. The difference in quality between the theatrical PCM and the SLV DD can be pretty clear at least through headphones but the edits sound fairly seamless after a little volume tweaking. No other alterations were made to either mix.
It should sync right up to the SLV UHD. I have both wav 2.0 and a custom “discreet” 4.0 files available. PM me, if interested.
