I was referring to the upscale kinda smoothing over a lot of the painted background elements and rounding off all the line work. I get that’s just a byproduct of the process but for me it loses a lot of the artistry from the original. I’d take the best version of the non-ai upscale personally, which I hear is the D+ version at (1080?) which would still be better than my dvd rips!
