The scenes and dialogue around the Kamino trial was something I was never 100% happy with. I cut the trial for timing and pacing issues. However, the original edit was done before AI dialogue was a thing for us amateurs. Now that I have (just this minute!) completed episode 3 I’m going to spend a couple of weeks going back through the first 2 episodes to tighten them up and release the final versions as a completed trilogy. AI dialogue will hopefully improve that sequence.
The whole Gregor episode was a bit of an annoyance. I really didn’t want to include it because it was a side quest, however, Hunter’s capture is a major plot point so it had to be included.
I’ve just looked at that sharp cut you referenced. I have an easy fix for that now that I can use a bit of AI dialogue, which will allow we to slightly extend the scene on the Marauder.

regarding the 1st movie:
AI dialogue sounds like a legit good idea for perfecting the fan editions. For the kamino trial you can likely remove the clone trooper mentioning the trial and just telling the batch that Tarkin requested to see them.
Another note to add is Omega and Wrecker walking out of the bar at 1:06:20. At first glance I thought you put it there as a clue for Omega going back to Cid’s room to pick up the Dathomir bowcaster thingie but on the second glance it was clear that she already has it and that she is heading outside.
Also after peeking at the show it seemed like omega met Fennec before she was kidnapped by Bane. just wanted to say your cut was seamless cuz it didn’t seem like they met before in your version.
regarding the 2nd movie:
As my first time viewing this season of the show, there’s not much to say, meaning how well done your edit is. The plot’s quality was definitely lacking compared to 1st movie because it didn’t grab my attention much and I watched it over 3 sessions.
- My only note is the treasure compass subplot (i don’t know if it’s something the creators left for the 3rd season). Wrecker just mentions they’re tired of waiting for Phee and they just forget about it. Same can be said for the Dooku castle subplot.
- oh and another thing, Cid’s threatening transmission at 1:13:40 and why the Batch decide not to respond to her doesn’t seem well established. As a suggestion maybe at a previous point you can also use an AI dialogue to mention they’re ditching Cid and she’s gonna be mad or something. It would also make more sense on why she sold them out to the empire later.
