I thought it would be crap because of Seth McFarlane but i’ve heard the film is actually good. Though the producer of the originals went on and on about how he thought the remake was garbage and did not make his film.

Section 31. I love Star Trek films. I couldn’t get into this. It was bad. It might be the single worst Star Trek ever made.

I’ll gladly watch Generations, Insurrection, Nemesis or Star Trek V the Final Frontier over this and I don’t like any of those films.

Edit:

Spider-Man 2 Superbit DVD. I forgot how much I loved Raimi Spider-Man, and the DTS mix is quite good. Picture quality is nothing to write home about. I mean DVD-9 and Mpeg-2 video, just how good can it look.

DVD always looks pixelated on a 4K tv set.

You enjoyed it I assume. I had mixed feelings at best the last time I watched it. I missed Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

But I despise the idea for the 4th one spun off of 21 Jump Street I’m glad that never happened. They either should have made a genuine 4th film or just don’t bother.

The film Hereditary is a modern paranormal horror masterpiece. It’s a tough watch but worth it in the end.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

My movie reviews aren’t AI, they’re just written by someone who’s Neurodivergent. If you don’t like them, then simply don’t read them.

The Star Wars Gout DVD. Region 2 Japan. watching it with the Japanese dub and English subtitles. The transfer is just as bad as the US NTSC pressing. And this is on an old crt standard def set. I think it has two different Japanese audio tracks. And just the 1993 track for English. None of the menus are in English, without a remote to set subtitles and to change audio I would have been lost.

Altered States (1981).

The only thing I didn’t care for was the long Neanderthal scene. Aside from that, genuinely one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.

The film Black Phone 2 is a masterpiece, which is just as good as the original if not a little bit better! I’m blown away at the quality of it, and the sheer majestic detail! A must see for fans of the original and horror aficionados in general!

The last movie I saw was I Swear(2025) I have to declare an interest or two here. First of all I was a supporting artist on this one. Though my contribution is probably trimmed to a couple of nanoseconds. The other is I have Tourettes myself so there was the strange situation where lead actor Robert Aramayo was doing a fine job of playing a man from Glasgow with a tic disorder and do a great job making the tics look authentic, in the same room as myself playing a a man from Glasgow without a tic disorder and hopefully doing a great job repressing my urge to tic.

The film is a slightly reordered and condensed telling of local hero John Davidson. Starting with his childhood, the onset of his illness and the events of his life with a still much misunderstood neurological condition. If it’s playing near you it’s well worth a watch.
