Do you keep all versions of the files or just the updated ones?
I only hold onto the most current versions. It’d take up too much space if I kept them all! Haha

I’ll be working on the V4 for the final arc. Which even if I lose the project file is fine and will still release with no issues!
After that I’ve got a nearly completed s3 episode to rerelease with brand new animation and new darksaber lore to make this series blend easily into AcBagels the Way of Mandalore edits!

Some good has come of my PC dying as I’m now finally replacing it! I’ve been working on this (and all my other projects) off of a computer that was 10 years old when I started 😅 needless to say, I’m excited for a significant upgrade and something that can handle modern editing programs!
The only downside is that I live in the middle of nowhere in Australia… And well, our postal system isn’t quick at the best of times. I’ve got to wait AT LEAST another week for all my parts to arrive.

Well… I lost my changelog for the final arc… rest assured I changed A LOT! hahaha
Progress on the final arc movie is going strong. Still working through subtitles and polishing. I’ve most recently redone the SFX for Ruhk’s staff as it wasn’t zappy enough. I’m probably about 2/3’s through my current review, polish and subtitle!
I’ve also been working on my S03E05 update (the colab with AcBagel that lead to the twilight of the apprentice overhaul). I didn’t plan on revisiting this episode so soon but I thought I’d lost my work on it and finding out I didn’t really motivated me to get it finished! This episode is almost ready to go, I’m just waiting on some voice acting and a few other little things.
So in short, I will release another version of these episodes as my next releases haha
I’m getting so close I can taste it with this movie. I’m subtitling and polishing the final 20minutes! As an aside the episode variants will take a while to produce as I need to rebuild them from scratch due to losing the project files…
Okay, the subtitles have been completed as well as working out the chapter metadata. I’m currently upscaling the footage for my final watch through. If everything is all good after that watch through, it’ll be time to release this movie!
Still waiting on some voice work for the other episode I’ve been working on, so looks like I’ll get the movie out first then that episode second 😃
Just a reminder that the episode variants won’t release at the same time here as they require me to completely rebuild footage to make them (which I will do eventually).

As an update, I’m still fiddling around with the upscale process as I lost all my previous settings. No other progress to report so far!
Is there a way you can extract or replicate those settings from other video files from prior episodes and seasons?

Not really BUT I do know which model I used (which is the biggest hurdle). Ive just been tweaking the settings and comparing it to previous results to get an indistinguishable match!
I’ve managed to get my movie nicely upscaled and now I just need to find time for my final watch through! After that (if there’s no problems) I’ll be releasing the final movie! 😄
Dude just want to say you’re killing it. Despite some pretty big setbacks. I’m really excited to do a full rewatch once you finish your movies for season 4. Can’t wait to check out the Twilight of the Apprentice episode with the epic changes you made.

I’ve been working on the Mandalorian episodes of Rebels recently. This is in the lead up to finally release my colab with Acbagel which makes our series compatible.
I’ve managed to recolor Concord Dawn in a way that takes inspiration from the purple hue shown in Rebels but makes it compatible with it’s depictions from the EU.

Be on the lookout for more Mando’a in Rebels Recut! The wonderful Shoya has been translating certain sections of dialogue in the Mandalorian focused episodes. Rebels incorporated some Mando’a previously so it’s good to expand on this idea. It also makes my series feel more consistent with Acbagels The Way of Mandalore which keeps the Mando’a going!

Yes! I’ve been redubbing the occasional line in my edit anyway. It does open the door to fixing poor dialogue HOWEVER (and it’s a pretty big however) I can’t really replace lines in basic because I can’t get anything to lip sync well… So if it’s an alien I can line up alien language with and if they’re wearing a helmet, I can change the dialogue.
Extended intro text length so it can be read easier.
Fixed audio issues.
Cut KANAN: “The Empire’s making our travels around the outer rim tougher ever time.” the intro text covers this and this meeting drags a bit.
Cut SABINE: “I may have the perfect shortcut” cut for pacing.
Cut EZRA: “Why not? They’ve grabbed up just about every other place” for pacing.
Cut SATO: "The question is, who are they loyal to
Cut SABINE: “They like to make up their own rules.” for pacing

Cut the conversation between Hera and Fen Rau, to make Rau less predictable and more aggressive. Now he doesn’t explain he’s with the empire and doesn’t give an indication he’ll attack.
Recolored Concord Dawn to be compatible with EU lore.
Cut SABINE: “My people don’t need a reason to pick a fight.”
Cut Sabine arguing with Hera about leaving and shortened Rau’s attack approach.
Changed the medical droids voice and dialogue. Now it says
For now, her vital signs are stable.
We don’t know if she’ll make it.
She needs rest and monitoring.
Cut Chopper not going with Kanan. It doesn’t make sense and it distracts from Sabine.
Recolored the space shots of Concord Dawn to make it’s look compatible with EU lore.
Recolored the ground shots of the Concord Dawn moon base (it didn’t look right with all the purples, I’m fairly sure they land on the BLUE moon but it really hard to tell… I figured some color changing here would add some clarity. I honestly didn’t realise they landed on a moon… I thought they landed on the actual planet but this isn’t the case.)

Cut some shots after Sabine arms her explosive. I’d previously cut her hitting her head but the Mandalorian’s react to something here, now it reads like they react to Sabine arming the explosive.
Cut the weird exchange between Protector’s and Fen Rau when warning them of Sabine. Now both Kanan and Rau leave when they’re told there’s an infiltrator.
Sped up Sabine catching her helmet.
Change dialogue voices and added Mando’a to a few sections (Thanks Shoya!)

The first of my Mandalorian focused episode renewals is out! My main focus for these episodes is to bring my series more in line with Acbagel’s The Way of Mandalore, to add more Mando’a where it makes sense to, and to fix any final thing that’s bothering me.
That being said S03E05 - The Darksaber of Mandalore is ALMOST ready to release too and I’m currently looking at S03E02 - Imperial Supercommandos.
