Hey everyone,

I came across this forum while looking into the Harry Potter Enhanced Editions (audiobooks) and ended up sticking around to explore more. I grew up on the original Star Wars VHS tapes — the old THX box set — and even though I had already watched them at home a million times, I still remember going to see the Special Editions when they were re-released in theaters. I didn’t really notice the changes back then, like Jabba and the extra effects — I was just excited to see Star Wars on the big screen.

Now that I’m older, I’ve been learning more about all the differences and the efforts people put into preserving the original versions and creating these fan edits. It’s been really interesting to read through the posts here, and I’m just looking forward to learning more and seeing what else the community is working on.
