I've heard it's quite good. Was thinking about getting a DS, but not sure given that MK and Nintendogs seem to be the only decent games out there...

You seen SM Strikers for GC yet?

Chaltab I strongly advise you not to publish your friend code over the internet. So when you try to have a friend game, you'll end up playing people you don't know.

But we have to schedule one day to play against each other, should be quite fun playing against a OT.com forum fellow member on the other side of the globe.

EDIT: removed the quote

If you advice against posting my friend code, then why did you QUOTE it in a post that I can't edit?

And, Jedi Sage:

THere are plenty more good games on the DS than the two you mentioned: *list*

Mario Kart DS (Highest Reccomendation)
Wario Ware Touched
Mario 64 DS
Kirby's Canvas Curse
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Highest Reccomendation)
Feel the Magic XY/XX
Animal Crossing Wild World
Sonic Rush
Nintendogs
Mario and Lugi: Partners in Time
Tony Hawk's American St8land

LOL I noticed it when I posted! But then I thought "let's see if he notices!".

OK let me ad my litle review for some games you mentioned:

Mario Kart DS (Highest Reccomendation) : THE best game for the DS so far. Also, the best Mario Kart ever released for any console. Smooth online multiplayer, great tracks, lots of playing modes, great fun. Get it now.

Wario Ware Touched: I gotta say... buy Wario Ware Twisted (GBA) instead. It's cheaper and it's more fun. If you already own that, you could give Touched a try, but do get a screen protector first!

Mario 64: Even if you own the original Mario 64, this should give you some extra fun. Try to think it that way: it's like watching a fun director's cut DVD filled with tons of extras on a portable DVD set! Plus, it has got a neat multiplayer (but unfortunally too fast).

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Now, Ive read about this game, and it seems kinda bizarre... If you are into japanese adventure-esque games, you might give itt a try...

Feel the Magic XY/XX: Hmnn... Go with Wario Ware.

Sonic Rush: I've seen some of the game and read about it, didn't play it yet, so I'm not sure, but it seems to be prety good. I intend to buy it later.

Nintendogs: It's fun and the game engine is absolutely amazing, but it can be somewhat frustrating. If you enjoy pet-caring games, this is for you.

Mario and Lugi: Partners in Time: If it's like it's GBA predecessor, than it's VERY good. I intend to get it too.

Advance Wars Dual Strike: I have only played it single-cart multiplayer, and it was quite fun.

I'd also recommend Puyo Pop Fever, Bomberman DS and Super Mario Bros.

PING PALS: AVOID IT LAKE THE PLAGUE! IT'S NOT EVEN A REAL GAME!

Actually, I've read it's Uwe Boll's best film ever.

Which doesn't say much, but still.

Sadly, yes. I've heard he's bought a bunch more too. There was a huge rant on Something Awful from a guy who tried to work with Uwe Boll on the ALONE IN THE DARK script, and said that basically the guy is a self absorbed idiot who thinks BIGGER and UGLIER monsters are the best and that action and car chases are what make a movei good.

Let's not forget his wretched take on House of the Dead. Lasted a week at the theatre when I was working there, and Alone in the Dark didn't last much longer.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

If it's of any consolation, the German legal loophole that kept financing Uwe Boll's films (which is pretty much what was done on The Producers) has been fixed, and if he does another movie and it bombs at box office, he is out for good.

Allow me to ressucitate this thread to make a comment about a very nice game for the Playstation 2, called Shadow of the Colossus. My brother got it for xmas/birthday cant remember (near each other), and I was watching him play it, it's amazing! It was voted game of the year. Basically you hunt down these HUGE monsters (there are 16 of them), and literally climb them to kill them, it's amazing... The first time I saw the game, the character climbing the huge collosus to fight it, I thought it was a CGI cut-scene. Second best game of 2005, the best being Mario Kart DS. I've played a little bit of Shadow of the Colossus, up to the fourth monster, and it's quite fun, although it can be frustrating sometimes. It reminded me of those old Harold Lloyd films (although most people here won't get that reference).

Is there any clock tower climbing involved?

Has anyone hear played "Call of Cthulhu"? Two of my friends got it and have been very impressed with it, but I don't own an Xbox and hence can't play it.

In a way, yes. There is tower climbing and huge colossal monster climbing. No clocks though.

Anyone play Rome: Total War for PC? That game is absolutely the best turn-based strategy game I've ever played.

I don't, but I am thinking about getting Age of Empires 3... I was a big fan of AOE 2 back on college, when we used to play it all nights for 4, 5 hours... and we slept on our classes...

I would highly recommend checking out "Sid Meier's Pirates!" Very solid game-age.

It is indeed, but gets quite tiresome after 8 hours or so.

On a side note, our XBox 360 came in today. Too bad we only have racing games for it at the moment.

My brother won't listen to my oft-repeated suggestion of having a little variety in his gameplay, he just plays racing game after racing game, no wonder he gets tired of most of them within a week.

Ouch, man. My brother has a similar fixation on sports games, but at least he normally only rents them. Also, he's currently infatuated with "The Movies"...

So, Sessler, you played Resident Evil 4 yet?
