In addition to the on-screen personal Canon I’ve set here (the five original live-action series and the ten pre-Abrams films), I’ve also decided to include the Enterprise novels in my personal continuity. I’ve never liked the Enterprise finale, mostly because of Trip’s death. I really enjoy how the novels rewrite that last episode and carry on the characters’ stories in a way that actually feels right. Enterprise always felt like it had so much more potential, and the books feel like the continuation the show really deserved.
