I’m happy that someone is talking about this!

I feel the same way towards this movie. It’s not great but I see the potential. The first half, up until the first dinosaur encounter, felt a bit boring. Mostly because I didn’t really connect with any of the characters. Some cutting/trimming in the beginning would definitely be an improvement. I like your idea of making a new opening text and removing any mention of a dying public interest in dinosaurs. That would bring this movie closer to the vibe of the original JP, which would be in line with the title “Rebirth”. Not sure if I would remove the prologue, though … it’s not amazing but it’s still an ok intro and gives us a taste of what kind of creatures to expect. Otherwise you would probably have to start directly with the “team member recruitment” which, as I said, wasn’t very interesting.
