Just kidding. But wow, what an absolute treat Andor has been. I’ve very much enjoyed viewing season two one week at a time to savor it in a similar slow-burn style as season one. (Although I watched the final episode a day earlier than proper!)

And I appreciate the discussion here I’ve missed out on until now. I have not yet rewatched Rogue One, so I’ll do that before finalizing a list of ideas, before eventually getting to actual work on an update. But yes, Andor is essential viewing and so it’s hard to imagine feeling good about anyone watching Rogue One without being encouraged to check it out as well. So this project’s original ideas are now somewhat displaced.

Here are my intentions and thoughts at this juncture.

Broom Kid, the link to your clip show is dead, so I have no idea what it contained. Do you still have this to present?

An opening set of text might be desirable but not necessary. I’d lean against it, unless something wins me over that is worthwhile. Open to formatting it like Solo’s opener.

Cassian’s intro on Kafrine must be reinstated and anything else necessary for that to fit well.

Mothma’s like about wanting to extract Galen in order for him to testify to the Senate is less plausible given season two of Andor. I could interpret it to mean he’d be put before the Senate by another party, maybe. Not sure a change is warranted.

Reinstate Draven’s order for Cassian to kill Galen Erso.

Restore the announcement on Jedha about the missing cargo pilot, if his original introduction remains cut.

Remove line where Cassian implies he’s never been in prison before. Perhaps “it’s the same to me.” That’s a nice idea if we can do it.

I’d like a modified version of the single shot of R2 and 3PO so that R2’s light is solid red (and maybe is a bit dim) and does not change, so that it would fit in well with any version of ANH.

It’s cool to have Vader. It’d have been cool to exclude him. I don’t plan to remove any of Vader, but if I did, it would be to remove his hallway scene and leave the rest.

Repurpose footage from 2001: A Space Odyssey to depict a dying vision for Andor during the end of the Battle of Scarif to tie into the ending of the final episode of the show.

Plan to include alternate audio track with StarWarsStory’s alternate Vader voice actor, since Broom Kid has adapted it to 5.1.

Also, plan to include an adjusted score-only audio track since Broom Kid provided one. May need some additional material of course.
