Hi! I am Scharisse. I’m here because while I have original versions of the first trilogy, I would love to be able to watch them in high quality, and share them with my son. I’m looking forward to being able to see the versions from this project!

I am an older gent. I was feeling nostalgic which led me to scrolling aimlessly around when I landed on a discussion about Star Wars and fan restorations. Three clicks later and I am here. I am fascinated by the effort and detail that go into this sort of thing.

As for other interests; cult flicks, record collecting, bbqing, tube amps, and guitar pedals.

Hello folks, I have been a member of these forums before, can’t remember if I used this username or not but it’s obviously been a while because my email was no longer in the system 🙃 In fact this may be the third time I’ve joined.

I remember really liking the vibe here and the respect for Star Wars, and a decided lack of Star Wars hate compared to other communities. I look forward to getting to know you all again.

And also upgrading my OT original versions 😇

Hello all! My name is Chris and I have been a Star Wars for most of my life. I am fortunate to have seen all the Star Wars movies for their original releases!

Hello everyone! I came across this forum from trying to find open matte versions of some of my favorite movies. I prefer these instead simply because you can see more of the screen. I also enjoy the hunt of finding them and the knowledge of what goes down in production with some of these films.

I grew up with the prequel trilogy so it’s neat that the site is more Star Wars oriented. Have lots of fond memories of the toys I would collect. But having a community for fan projects and such from other media is really cool.

I also enjoy video editing as a hobby and collecting obscure movies and shows that can’t be found anywhere else, maybe I can share them here for everyone to see.

Just dropping by to say “Hello there!

I’ve been following a few of the restoration projects for a while now and am very much looking forward to seeing them completed. Hope I’m not the only one who thinks Return of the Jedi is the best.

Hi,

I’ve been lurking here for years (came for the 4K77 originally), but I don’t think I’ve ever posted anything before. =)

Anyway, I’m a Star Wars fan since 80’s and I haven’t ever had the heart to get rid of my original trilogy VHS cassettes (I even have Empire on VHS twice, once as a UK version bought separately and once as part of a “THX” set of the trilogy).

I recently got a new 4K TV so of course a rewatch of the original trilogy is in order, and I came here again to check what’s going on with the 4K versions nowadays.

Greetings,

I’ve been intrigued by fan edits and regraded versions of old movies for a while, so I finally decided to take the plunge and join the community.

Hope to be an active member of the community in the time yet to come,

Hello! I was just searching to see if there were any fan edits of various Disney Star Wars projects and came across this site. Can’t wait to check out some of the projects I’ve seen on here.

Hey, I was actually a user on here a long time ago, around the time RoTS came out. I remember when the 2006 DVDs came out and everyone was ecstatic.

Now it’s 2025 and my preferred way to watch the OT is 4K77, even though I don’t have a 4K TV.

I have been doing my own restorations, trying to piece together high quality sources and upscaling them when need be.

I have a few projects finished, I upscaled the Original Western Dub of Sailor Moon from 1995. Despite it’s issues, it’s something that was worthy of preserving simply because of it’s place in history. I have also upscaled and the 1997 Parasite Eve movie, based on the book that inspired the PS1 game.
