In this clip, at around 5:36, there’s a moment from the Falcon’s cockpit view where it seems Lando has steered the ship to avoid hitting a wall, but the elements used for the ships in front of the Falcon move sideways along with the Falcon’s view in perfect unison, and this has always bothered me. It seems to just be a limitation of the effects at the time. I wonder, Adywan, do you see what I am talking about? And are there any plans to attempt a fix?

Also, does anyone even see what I’m talking about?

Screenshot?

I don’t think a screenshot would show what I’m seeing. You have to see it in motion.

You can link to specific timecodes in youtube links. You can also create GIFs.

Anyway, I don’t think they all move in unison. Each of those ships, as well as the tunnel and the cockpit overlay are separate elements, filmed separately. Other than any issues with the later remastering recomposites, it’s likely exactly what the effects team intended. This isn’t even one of the overly complex parts of the battle that got cut down for budget/time reasons. And again, I don’t see the problem you’re describing.
