I’ve been thinking about this one a lot. I think the Swiss soldiers intro bit should be relegated to a flash back when the sole survivor describes why he’s the only one left. I think there is a lot of promise in a 28 years later edit, because to my counting the first half is nearly flawless.

With the sequel already filmed I think the last two minutes will make more sense soon, but a useful edit would probably just be tacking in onto the beginning of the next film.
