Is there a lost 1981 interview with George discussing the changes he made to that cut?

Title. I’m not sure where I read it, but from what I remember reading it might be a televised interview. Also, is there anything like a master list of George Lucas interviews?

It may be in…

‘3️⃣ • Archival / Historical Discussions: History & Events of the Original Trilogy : People Behind The Scenes in the OT era’

…of An Index & Help Thread for Original Trilogy Discussion - and scroll down to ‘Category B’ which has a few interviews by George.

The likes of doubleofive, none, and JadedSkywalker etc may know more about the interview you’re referring to. 👍

Alan Arnold’s book: ‘Once upon a Galaxy: A Journal of the Making of the Empire Strikes Back’ - may also be of interest (for a full and candid look at the making of ESB).

There are just so many of those type of interviews… a master list of them would certainly come in handy; a July 1981 interview where George states the planned Prequels are about Ben Kenobi:-

I couldn’t find one unless oojason has something like that, but here’s a 1980 interview I came across in my search, just for anyone that wants some light reading:

Nice read, enjoyed that mate. 👍

Jaded pointed me to ‘Cinefantastique Vol 06 No 4 Vol 07 No 1 (1978).pdf’ on the Internet Archive (PM me for a link if you wish). I’ve only had time to read the insightful & informative John Dykstra interview so far - though there are a number of interviews there from many of the creative talents that worked on Star Wars (before the PR shine, gloss, and rewriting of official history etc)
