Another thing I found out today is that Universal’s theatrical cut (Blu-ray) has slightly less brightness than Criterion’s Blu.

Again, it was a transfer personally supervised by Danny Boyle and he’s not a known revisionist. The old masters were DVD era neutral and were clearly not theatrically accurate. Teal always existed as a color and idk why people are always so insistent that DVD era neutral and magenta pushes are theatrically accurate when they’re clearly not. The color timing on Trainspotting looks so much better than the various old masters.
