i think 'yoda is your father', 'psycho_dayv' and 'jay' and all those who donated really deserve a massive online standing ovation for this action. it's so heartwarming to see how people can get together and help each other.

I NEVER DREAMED THAT WHEN I STARTED THIS THAT IT WOULD GET THIS BIG. WHEN I READ THAT WE HAD ZOOMED PAST A THOUSAND DOLLARS TEARS BEGAN TO POUR FROM MY EYES. You're a good man, Dave. I gotta go to work now, lookin forward to comin home tommorrow and seeng where were at with this. Its still not too late to donate. For those that can't use paypal has any one considered Western Union to wire the money to YIYF? Might be another way to go, instead of snail mail, so Rik's family can get the money by Christmas. Most stores can wire money and it only costs a dollar I think. Somethin to think about.

Man, this is great. I sent somethin g as soon as I read the email. Great ideas, the donations and the mass email. I am just thrilled to see something like this actually happening, and I'm equally thrilled to give my small part to make it happen. Just got Jay's e-mail (great idea, BTW) and I see you guys are having your own little all-night telethon here! Well, I think it's great. This community is incredible and it's all thanks to Star Wars.

Rikter is a giving and selfless guy, who has given more than his share to this community. I'm happy to help him and his family in any way I can, as we all should be.

But, let's not lose sight of what's really important here...
